As a retired classroom teacher,who is now teaching on the university level, I felt very isolated and removed from the educational system. This is not good when you are teaching other teachers since I need to know current trends and tools that are being used. Sure, I read articles and blogs but with Twitter, I know what is going on today. I know what topics are important today and not weeks or months ago. I have connected with like minded people and have gotten inspired all over again. I have realized why I love teaching because I love learning and so do people on twitter. They are not afraid to ask questions and help each other. That is the magic of networking! Twitter has opened up the world for me.
