The things you discover on the internet! As you do on a Saturday morning you have a little time to play while the washing machine finishes its cycle. Via my friend @tricias in the UK I came across this little piece of magic that I just had to follow up on.
The idea is that you print out a piece of paper and hold it up in front of your web cam and a whole virtual reality world opens up in front of your very eyes with spinning wind turbine, 3D and the sun shining above. They have two scenarios- the other is showing solar power! It’s just magic! Do it. You’ll love it. No idea how it works though but think of the possibilities. Here’s a little video to show you how it works….
To get the link to the piece of paper that you print off and to see the so easy instructions click here. It only took me a minute to print and play!
Piers and his Mum had a bit of a play with it as well. Have a look at Piers’ blog for the video the made.
Oh my gosh! I just watched the video and I want to play NOW! Will be the first thing I try Monday morning once I can print the piece of paper. Thanks for sharing this!!
Hi Allanah
Thanks for sharing this. My husband and I had fun playing with it this afternoon. I can’t wait to show my son when he gets home from his friend’s house tomorrow. I found it quite fascinating and would love to know more about how it works.

This was so wild! I have to confess, at first I thought you were crazy and making this up so I just had to try it. I was pretty skeptical until I saw it with my own eyes! Thanks so much for sharing this.
All I can say is cool. cool and triple cool!!! I am always amazed by your innovation, humour and ability to ‘JDI – just do it! I’ve started a newbies to IT wiki adapted from the 23 things challenge and would love to have you as a guest blooger http://the27thingsadventure.wikispaces.com. Let me know.
That really is incredible! It’s not even something I considered being a possibility. Of all the times in history to be a teacher this surely has to be the most fun. Think of the learning this kind of thing could open up for visual/kinesthetic learners (or anybody for that matter, simply on an engagement level).
Top marks for ‘wow’ factor!

Imagine children’s storybooks like this, where each page unfurled before you. It would be kind of strange having to hold the book away from you (!!), but the pay-off would be worth it!
