Life is not a race to be first finished

This is an attempt to record some of my musings about learning and teaching.

About Me

I am Allanah King, a New Zealand primary school teacher, teaching at a small rural school. For 2008 I took a year’s leave to work as an ICT Facilitator helping teachers at 14 schools based in Motueka. In 2009 I am back teaching Year Four and Five students at Appleby School, near Nelson, New Zealand.

I enjoy speak with classroom teachers about the sorts of things we do using ICT.

I try to integrate Web2.0 tools into my literacy programme through blogging and podcasting. You can find more about our Web2.0 journey by following a link to http://allanah.wikispaces.com/Possibilities.

Our class blog is www.moturoa.blogspot.com and our podcast can be found in iTunes and at www.allanah.podomatic.com.

I have a podcasting wiki at http://allanah.wikispaces.com/Podcasting that you may well find useful.

People have found the blog that I have written on how to blog quite useful.
